  Church Membership
If you would like to become a member of Alderwood, we offer a class that teaches the basics of Alderwood's beliefs and ministry philosophy. Our next class is 4/18/10. Call the church office at 425.774.7766 or fill out a communication card in the church service to register. After you attend the class, fill out an application for membership. Once completed you will talk informally with an elder about your life and testimony. Membership Application Form.

Eight Reasons to Say Yes to Membership!

1. Belonging
By becoming a member, you formally join the team, which strengthens the bond of our family.
2. Spiritual Growth
Christians are accountable to each other for spiritual growth. Leadership can only "oversee" those that are officially theirs.
3. Jesus' Commitment
Jesus is committed to His church. Why shouldn't we commit to His church in the strongest way we know how...by becoming official members.
4. You Send a Message

You send a message to the Pastors, Elders and other members that, "You can count on me!" Membership goes against the flow of "consumer religion".
5. Tradition

Our forefathers in the faith committed themselves whole-heartedly to the church! This church was built on the resolve and fortitude of godly men and women; Let's continue to hold high the standard set by those that came before us.
6. Setting an Example

The example you set really does make a difference in the lives of others. By becoming a member of Alderwood you set a positive example that others can follow.
7. Leadership

Our philosophy of ministry says that only members may hold positions of leadership at Alderwood. It only makes sense that those who teach, lead, and guide have formally committed themselves through membership.
8. Decision-making

Our church identifies four major decisions that require the input and vote of the membership: approval of annual budget, calling of Senior Pastor, amending the constitution, purchase or sale of property!
