How Long at ACC: I served here 16 years in the past and rejoined ACC staff in September, 2007.
Growing up: I'm a PNW native, born in Bellingham and raised in Puget Sound.  Graduated from Renton High School.
Family: Merilee and I have raised four children, now in their 20's and 30's.  We have three grandchildren who are the delight of our lives!
Education: Moody Bible Institute (Diploma), Biola University (BA), Western Seminary Seattle (studies in MDiv track), and Bakke Graduate University (DMin).
Past employment: Alderwood Community Church (1972-1978 and 1983-1993);  Keizer Community Church in Orgeon (1978-1982); founding pastor of Alderwood's daughter church, Snohomish Community Church (1993-2007).
Special Ministry: Probably the most "special" ministry I have done over the years is to lead Men's Ministry climbs up peaks like Rainier, Baker, Glacier and others.
Activities/Hobbies: Reading, running, mountain and rock climbing, woodworking.
Why ACC: I treasure the many long-time friendships I have at ACC.  I love ACC's solid doctrinal position and its biblical values and vision.  And what a great staff team!
Great times at ACC: I met and married my wife here!  I came here fresh out of Bible School and was mentored at ACC by Pastor Lowell Wendt.  I will always be grateful to him and people of ACC for giving this young and inexperienced guy  a chance!
Favorite Music: My music tastes are eclectic including smooth jazz, celtic, and a mix of the best of traditional and contemporary Christian music.  I am not into Country  or Opera!
Bookshelf:
(last three books read)
If God Is Good by Randy Alcorn; Creating Community by Andy Stanley and Bill Willits, and Ghost Soldiers: the Forgotten Epic of World War II’s Most Dramatic Mission by Hampton Sides.
Most proud of: My three little grandkids:  Jackson (5 years), Elleanor (3 years), and Vivian (1 year).
Remember me for: Having a passion to communicate God's Word  and loving God's people.
