Awana is a fun place for children to learn Scripture and truths from God’s Word. This program includes one-on-one time with a leader, story time, game time, and the opportunity to earn a lot of awards. There is something for everybody at our Awana Clubs. We have a tremendous sports program, awards for handbook achievements, regular club outings, special events, and interesting speakers who help us to understand the Bible and learn how to use it every day.

Awana Clubs meet every Wednesday,
September thru May 18,
6:30pm to 8:30pm. All clubs (except Cubbies) meet at nearby Alderwood Middle School. Buses leave the church at 6:20pm sharp and return by 8:45pm.

The 40th year of Alderwood Awana is drawing to a close and it has been a great year. We have averaged 170 clubbers with hundreds of verses memorized. It is fun to watch our clubbers grow in their faith and knowledge of the Lord. There have been many special events throughout the year as well as a great Grand Prix, successful AwanaGames and Loose Change Drive. THANK YOU for allowing us to spend Wednesday evenings with your clubbers. It is our privilege to serve the Lord by working with your Awana kids.
The month of March was our Loose Change Drive. The final total was $1,429 for Kevin and Alana Beach and their ministry in Mexico. The winning club was Pioneers and one of their members will “Pie” the leader of their choice.
On May 2 our clubbers visit the club they will be in this fall. It is a fun night to introduce them to their new leaders. There are also end-of-the-year parties planned so watch for the information to come home with your clubbers.

Note to all parents: If Edmonds School District cancels school on a Wednesday club meeting night there will be no Awana. The latest status on whether there will be club meetings can be found on the Alderwood website.
