What "Uplifters" do:

• We meet the 4th Thursday of every month around lunch (sometimes a sack lunch, sometimes a lovely tea)
• We provide a safe, caring, listening ear and heart to those who are suffering emotionally and/or spiritually after the diagnosis.
• We pray for each other. We have an active Prayer Chain among our members who pray especially for those of our group who are facing difficult decisions or uncertain days.
• We put together and deliver care baskets with small items and books to make new cancer patients feel our concern for them.
• We do hospital and/or home visitation.
• We provide transportation when needed for treatment or other necessary trips.
• We offer women who have had cancer, encouragement and support.

Please join us if you have heard a doctor say, "You have cancer" or if you know a woman
that would benefit from such a group, please let us know and we will make
contact with her. We are here for you.
